Title:
GAS METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3574486
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten the time required for installing a gas meter by hanging a seismoscope in a freely swingable state from a supporting body provided on a substrate fixed in the meter and setting the axial line of the swinging fulcrum of the seismoscope in the horizontal direction and the swinging direction of the seismoscope in the forward-backward direction of the meter.
CONSTITUTION: A frame 7 is integrally formed on the upper surface of a substrate 3 horizontally set in a gas meter 1 and the front end sections of a pair of elastic supporting pieces 4a fitted to the frame 7 are rotatably engaged with both side faces of a seismoscope 2 and hang the seismoscope 2 in a swingable state. Shaft sections formed by bending the upper ends of the pieces 4a are inserted into recessed sections in the upper end sections of the side faces of the seismoscope 2 as the swinging fulcrum of the seismoscope 2. The frame 7 is provided so that the lateral axial line of the seismoscope 2 can become horizontal and the switching direction of the seismoscope 2 can become parallel to the forward-backward direction of the meter 1. When the gas meter 1 is constructed in such a way, the seismoscope 2 can maintain a vertically standing attitude due to its own weight even when the meter 1 is tilted forward or backward at the time of installing the meter 1.
