Abstract:
To provide a miniaturized gas meter with desired measurement accuracy ensured.SOLUTION: A gas meter 1 comprises: a meter body 2 including a cylindrical inlet flow passage 21 having a gas inlet 21a, a cylindrical outlet flow passage 22 having a gas outlet 22a, and a cylindrical communication portion 23 for communicating between the inlet flow passage and the outlet flow passage; and a measurement unit 4 for measuring a flow rate of gas flowing in the communication portion. The communication portion is arranged to extend in a direction intersecting the axis of the inlet flow passage. The measuring unit includes a cylindrical measuring unit main body 41, and a rectifying grid 5 provided at an upstream end of the measuring unit main body and for partitioning a cross section of the measuring unit main body in a gas flowing direction into a grid. The rectifying grid is located at a boundary between the inlet flow passage and the communication portion or at a side of the communication portion farther from the inlet flow passage than the boundary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
