Abstract:
To provide an environmentally friendly gas oil low enough in sulfur content and aromatics content and excellent in low-temperature characteristics and combustibility and to provide a method for producing the same.
The environmentally friendly gas oil has a density of 0.78 g/cm3 or higher, a sulfur content of 1 mass ppm or lower, a number A represented by formula (1) of 16.0 or larger, and a number B represented by formula (2) of 19.5 or smaller. The above formulas are A=(Nc)×(Np)0.02 (1) and B=(Nc)×(Np)0.05 (2) (wherein Nc is an average carbon number; and Np is a normal paraffin content (mass%)).
