Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an oxidation catalyst of gas phase oxidation of organic compounds comprising oxides of molybdenum, phosphorus, and vanadium as principal elements.

CONSTITUTION: The gas phase oxidation catalyst is obtained by admixing a catalytically active material or its precursor, a material which chemical composition of HaMbPcModVeOf, or in case of manufacturing catalyst composed of inert additive, with 0.05 to 5 weight % of carbon or of organic fiber having a diameter of 1 to 100 μm, and then calcining the above bodies after forming to form channels wither the temperature range of 100°C to 380°C in the presence of oxygen, and after forming the carbon and the organic fiber are burnt out.
