To provide a gas valve cover that facilitates detachment/attachment from/to a gas valve, enables opening/closing operation of the gas valve even in a fitted state and can confirm an opening/closing state, concerning the gas valve cover for protecting the gas valve for opening and closing a gas flow path from the outside heat by turning and operating a plug (3) housed in a plug housing part (30) using an operation knob (4).SOLUTION: A gas valve cover comprises: a main body cover (1) having a knob insertion hole (10) enabling an operation knob (4) to be inserted and covering an outer face of a gas valve body (31); and a knob cover (2) provided separately from this, and having an outer surface shape in imitation of a top surface shape of the operation knob (4), and an inner surface shape capable of housing the operation knob (4) substantially in a close contact state. When the knob cover (2) is fitted to the operation knob (4) and an engagement part (23) is engaged to the operation knob (4), an open end of the knob cover (2) is set so as to come in abutment with the periphery of the knob insertion hole (10) of the main body cover (1) covered on the gas valve body (31).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
