In this gas plug socket 10, because the rotationally moving range of a disengaging member 40 in the detaching direction is regulated by a stopper part 44, an energizing means used for a customary gas plug socket can be omitted. Further because the disengaging member 40 is not largely rotationally moved from a detaching position in the detaching direction, when the extreme end face of the socket S (the extreme end face of a moving cylinser S2) collides with the disengaging member 40, the disengaging member 40 can not be rotationally moved, and it is surely avoided that the socket S can not be further inserted in a plug 32. Consequently the socket S can be surely connected to the plug 32.
