Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the expansion of a pressure adjusting range and the fine adjustment in a low adjustment pressure area by employing a nonlinear compression coil spring whose spring constant is small and large in the low adjustment pressure area and a high adjustment pressure area, respectively, as an adjusting spring. CONSTITUTION:The adjusting spring 20 is constituted as a composite compression coil spring having two different spring constants available from coupling serially a compression coil spring 21 obtained by winding a spring member having a small sectional area and a compression coil spring 22 obtained by winding a spring member having a large sectional area. For instance, in the low adjustment pressure area where a fuel battery stops electric power generation, the spring 21 having a small spring constant improves the opening and closing speed of a valve interlocking with the adjusting spring 20 and an elastic bulkhead 6 with respect to a change in the adjustment pressure of an outlet side valve chamber 3, and can perform the fine adjustment of the adjustment pressure. In the high adjustment pressure area where the fuel battery generates power, the titled device is so constituted that the spring 22 having a larger spring constant performs the pressure adjustment, thereby widening the pressure adjustment range.
