PURPOSE: To miniaturize the appliance and as well as prevent the bottom of a burner from being overheated by a structure wherein an inclined partition plate is arranged between an oven and the burner and an opening is provided at the front of the appliance so as to discharge hot air heated at the oven and at the bottom of the burner through the opening from a common discharge port arranged on the upper surface of the appliance at its rear part.
CONSTITUTION: Draft is activated at the discharge port 11 of high temperature exhaust gas of the oven 1 occupying the lower part of the gas range in order to exhaust hot air lying between double walls 5 and 6 surrounding the oven 1 and between the oven 1 and an outer wall 8. Air to be supplied to the double walls 5 and 6 is collected to the front opening 14 provided above oven door. Accordingly, the knob 4 of the burner 15, which is located above the opening 14, does not be stricken with the hot air ascending from the door 9. In addition, because the burner 15 is protected from the high temperature applied from below owing to the heat insulating action of the inclined heat insulating plate 10 arranged at its bottom, to the convection of hot air induced with the inclination of the plate 10 and furthermore to the stimulation of occurrence of two air streams activated with the draft of the exhaust gas of the oven 1, the burner 15 can be mounted above the oven 1 so low without being heated by the oven 1.
