Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas seal device of a combustion chamber of an engine, capable of enhancing gas seal performance of a pressure ring without narrowing a width L of an abutment clearance 5.SOLUTION: In a gas seal device of a combustion chamber of an engine in which a piston 2 is internally fitted into a cylinder 1 and a pressure ring 4 is internally fitted into a pressure ring groove 3 of the piston 2, plural recess parts 7 holding a predetermined clearance in a circumferential direction are formed on a wall surface 6 on the piston upper dead point side of the pressure ring groove 3, and an opening edge part 8 on the piston lower dead point side of each recess part 7 has a corner part 9. The recess part 7 is formed in a second land groove 10. An abutment clearance 5 of the pressure ring 4 is formed in a direction along a cylinder center axial line 11.
