Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas seal device of a rotary kiln which eliminates the need of dry processing of a processed object taken out from the rotary kiln while keeping airtightness in the rotary kiln, and to provide a gas seal method.SOLUTION: In a rotary kiln which performs chemical reaction processing to a material of a processed object and transfers the material while rotating, a gas seal device 7 is provided in an end part at a downstream side when viewed in a material transfer direction. The gas seal device 7 includes: a fluid bed 74 into which the processed object C, which is discharged from the rotary kiln and has been subject to the chemical reaction processing, is injected, the fluid bed 74 formed by a fluid substance; and a gas blowing part 73 which blows a gas G into the fluid bed 74.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
