To provide a gas sensor arrangement structure and a fuel cell system capable of preventing water, mud or the like upward splashed from the lower part from splashing on a gas sensor and capable of restraining deterioration of detection accuracy.
A hydrogen sensor 40 is arranged so that elements 50 and 60 are upward opened when arranging the hydrogen sensor 40 near an upper side of a detection target such as a hydrogen tank 110, and the direct splash of mud or the like to the elements 50 and 60 from the lower part can be avoided. A filter 88 covering upper sides of the elements 50 and 60 is conical, and a top 98 of the cone is deviated from the center of the hydrogen sensor 40. The deviation of the top of the filter 88 is close to a front part of a fuel-cell-powered car 100.
