Title:
GAS SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2020064005
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a gas sensor capable of suppressing heat release from a heat generating body to the outside of a sensor element, with the strength of the sensor element retained.SOLUTION: A sensor element 2 comprises a solid electrolyte body 31, a pair of electrodes 311 and 312, insulating bodies 33A and 33B, and a heat generating body 34. The insulating bodies 33A and 33B each includes a first insulation part 331 that is laminated adjacent to the solid electrolyte body 31 and formed of a dense ceramic material not allowing gas to pass therethrough, and a second insulation part 332 that is laminated outside the lamination direction D of the first insulation part 331 and formed of a porous ceramic material having a porosity higher than that of the first insulation part 331. The second insulation part 332 is disposed at a recess portion 333 of a gas chamber-side insulating body 33A, formed at a surface site that is located at a tip side L1 in the longitudinal direction L of the sensor element 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
