Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a gas separating membrane excellent in durability and high in selective permeability by providing a copolymer of at least one kind of specific diesters of fumaric acid and a polymerizable vinyl ester.
CONSTITUTION: A gas separating membrane is produced by copolymerizing at least one kind of the diesters of fumaric acid represented by the general formula I (wherein X and Y are the same or different branched alkyl groups containing 3 - 8 carbon atoms) and a polymerizable vinyl ester.
