Abstract:

To provide a system for further controlling energy consumption in a gas separation system which recovers an impermeable gas with high pressure from a mixed gas using a gas separation membrane.

A gas separation system for concentrating a low permeable gas hard to permeate through a gas separation membrane from a mixed gas, includes a first compression means 12 to elevate the pressure of the mixed gas, a gas separation membrane to separate the elevated mixed gas to a permeated gas and a nonpermeated gas by the first compression means, and a second compression means to elevate the pressure of the nonpermeated gas that has been obtained by the gas separation membrane, wherein the discharging pressure of the second compression means 13 is higher than that of the first compression means.
