Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably supply a product CO gas by indirectly detecting a cold end temperature at an outlet of a heat exchanger of the product CO gas for circulation with a pressure controller provided on an upper part of a CO fractioning tower to automatically adjust a regulation valve provided on a bypass line. CONSTITUTION: For example, when the concentration of H in a stock gas grows, the generation of cold in an expansion turbine 5 increases and the temperature of a product CO gas for circulation lowers below a specified value to be liquefied at an outlet of a heat exchanger 1. As a result, the quantity of heat to be supplied for cooking by a reboiler 7 of a CO fractioning tower 4 decreases to reduce the quantity of ascending gas hence causing a drop in the purity of the product gas and in the pressure in the tower. In this case, the pressure in the tower falls below a set value of a pressure regulator 13 provided at an upper part of the CO fractioning tower 4 and with the action of the pressure controller 13, a control valve 11 provided on bypass lines 35 and 36 of the product CO gas for circulation of the heat exchanger 1 is gradually opened to adjust the temperature of the product CO gas at the outlet of the heat exchanger 1 to a specified value. Thus, the quantity of heat supplied by the reboiler 7 of the CO fractioning tower 4 comes up to the specified value thereby enabling stable supply of the product CO gas.
