To obtain a welding wire having excellent high temperature strength and crack resistance and moreover obtainable excellent rigidity by limiting elements harmful to induced activation, adding a suitable quantity of C, Si, Mn, Ni, W, V, Ta, B and rationalizing the balance of C, Ni, N, B.
This welding wire is composed of, by wt., 0.03-0.12% C, 0.03-0.40% Si, 0.10-1.60% Mn, 0.15-0.75% Ni, 8.0-11.0% Cr, 1.3-2.4% W, 0.05-0.35% V, 0.01-0.04% Ta, 0.0005-0.0055% B, 0.002-0.015% N, 0.002-0.007% O and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. However, the inequality 0.07≤C+1/30Ni+10B+N≤0.16 is satisfied and further Mo, Nb, Co and Cu and limited so as to be Mo+Nb+Co+Cu≤0.09. The wire having this constituent is allowed to use in various kinds of low induced activation ferritic steels, especially suitable for welding the low alloy steel containing 8-10% Cr.
