This gas shut-off device includes: a flow detecting means 11 for monitoring the appliance; a flow computing means 12 for computing a flow from a detection value of the flow detecting means; a flow register means 13 for registering a flow as an appliance flow from the flow obtained from the flow computing means 12 in determination; a working time measuring means 14 for measuring the working time of the registered flow; a working time setting means 15 storing the time-limit of the working time of the appliance; an abnormality determination means 16 for determining the presence/absence of abnormality from the working time of the appliance and the working time preset value; an interrupt means 17 for interrupting the supply of gas when the abnormality determination of the abnormality determination means 16 is established; a communicating means 18 for communicating with the center 2 and giving information to the center 2 when abnormality is determined by the abnormality determination means 16; and a working time switching means 19 for communicating with the center 2 by the communicating means 18 and setting a preset value of the working time setting means 15 to the maximum when the connecting state is determined.
