Title:
GAS TURBINE COMBUSTOR AND METHOD OF SUPPRESSING COMBUSTION DYNAMIC PRESSURE IN TRANSITION FROM PRIMARY OPERATION MODE TO PRE-MIX OPERATION MODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3459449
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a gas turbine combustor enabled to minimize high combustion dynamic pressure in a transition to a pre-mix operation.
CONSTITUTION: This gas turbine combustor includes primary and secondary combustion chambers 24, 26 with a venturi 60 including a throat portion 64 located therebetween and a plurality of primary fuel injection nozzles secured to a combustor cap in an annular array upstream of the primary combustion chamber 24, and secondary fuel nozzle. Further, the combustor comprises a centerbody extending from the combustor cap to the secondary combustion chamber 26 and a plurality of tertiary fuel injection nozzles 56 arranged in a circular array about a longitudinal axis of the combustor, at a location downstream of said venturi throat portion 64, for injecting fuel into the secondary combustion chamber.
