Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fuel nozzle assembly in which gas fuel can be burnt, while injecting two kinds or more of fuel or steam and a nozzle cap can be replaced easily by another cap.
CONSTITUTION: A nozzle base 3 of a fuel nozzle assembly 1 has inlet ports 14 and 38 for receiving either gas fuel and oil fuel or gas fuel and steam. A nozzle cap 4 has outlet ports 18 and 19 for jetting the fuel. The nozzle cap forms an annular conduit, into which gas flows from the inlet ports 14 and 38 to the outlet ports 18 and 19. The nozzle cap 4 is detachably fixed to the nozzle base by first and second threaded joints respectively formed in inner and outer sleeves 11 and 12. A locknut 9 presses the front part 12' of the outer sleeve against a rear part 12" of the outer sleeve to form the first threaded joint. A lock pipe 10 pulls the front part 11' of the inner sleeve to the rear part 11" of the inner sleeve to form the second threaded joint.
