Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine component for a gas turbine engine that generates a hot combustion gas flow and provides a cooling fluid flow.SOLUTION: A wall 122 can separate the hot combustion gas flow H from the cooling fluid flow C. Multiple film holes 130 can be disposed in the wall 122, having an inlet 132 adjacent to the cooling fluid flow C and an outlet 134 at the hot combustion gas flow H such that the cooling fluid flow C can be provided to the hot combustion gas flow H. The film holes 130 further comprise inlets 132 such that the inlets 132 can be arranged with the inlets 132 having different orientations relative to one another and/or being non-aligned with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
