To reduce the igniting sounds of fuel and to suppress the excessive temperature rise of combustion gas by preventing sudden fuel combustion with inexpensive construction.
The gas turbine engine 1 includes a control valve 41 for controlling fuel supplied to a combustor 12 to a flow rate in proportion to the pressure of compressed air supplied from a compressor 20, a fuel restricting valve 42 cutting off the supply of the compressed air to the control valve 41, a fuel cut-off valve 43 cutting off the supply of the fuel, an ECU 44 controlling the fuel restricting valve 42 and the fuel cut-off valve 43, and an exhaust temperature sensor 13a detecting an exhaust temperature TMP. When the gas turbine engine 1 is restarted from a state of the exhaust temperature TMP of reference temperature TMP1 or higher, the ECU 44 controls the fuel supplied to the combustor 12 to be reduced to a predetermined flow rate for a predetermined time by using the fuel restricting valve 42 for cutting off the supply of the compressed air to the control valve 41 for a predetermined time and using the fuel cut-off valve 43 for cutting off the supply of the fuel to the combustor 12 for a predetermined time.
