Title:
GASEOUS HYDROGEN SEPARATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3207635
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the high-temp. and high-pressure resistance and to prevent the gas leakage from a joining part by joining a porous ceramic pipe forming a gaseous hydrogen separating pipe and flanges made of ceramic and thereafter coating the surface of the jointed part thereof and the porous ceramic pipe with a metal film.
CONSTITUTION: A gaseous hydrogen separator is constituted so that plural cylindrical gaseous hydrogen separating pipes 11 are housed in a high pressure vessel. The gaseous hydrogen separation pipes 11 are supported in the state that each upper end is passed through a through-hole 12a of an upper flange 12 and opened and each lower end is inserted into a through-hole 13a of a lower flange 13 and sealed. In this constitution, each gaseous separating pipe 11 is formed of a porous ceramic pipe 14 jointed to the upper and lower flanges 12, 13 consisting of ceramics with a heat resistant inorganic adhesive. The jointed parts 15 and the one side surface of the porous ceramic pipe 14 are coated with a film 6 of metal such as palladium by chemical plating, etc.
