To provide a gaseous impurity treating system which can be continuously operated even when an adsorption filter medium is replaced.
A fluidized bed 122 is formed of a filter medium which adsorbs gaseous impurities on each of porous plates 120 laminated, in a multistage fashion, inside an adsorption tower 110, and these fluidized beds 122 are moved by fluidization per state to be sequentially dropped to the lower stages, and an untreated air is caused to pass through the fluidized beds 122 which are moved through each of the stages to generate a clean air. In addition, the filter media which reach the bottom part of an adsorption chamber are returned to the top stage using an air current for transporting the filter medium. Further, this gaseous impurity treating system consists of a filter medium supply means for supplying an unused adsorption filter medium into the adsorption chamber, a filter medium discharge means for discharging the filter medium whose adsorption is saturated from the bottom part of the adsorption chamber, and a switching means for connecting the filter medium supply means and/or the filter medium discharge means without stopping the operation of the adsorption chamber. Therefore, it is possible to continuously supply a clean air from which the gaseous impurities are removed, without stopping the operation of the adsorption chamber, even during the replacement of the filter medium.
