Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid unnecessary support combustion by oil and reduction in plant availability factor caused by hardening of slag and consequent blockade of a slag outlet, in a waste gasification melting system. SOLUTION: The waste gasification melting system, including a fluidized bed gasification furnace 6 for gasifying waste and a melting furnace 9 for burning a combustible gas, char and tar generated in the fluidized bed gasification furnace 6 to slag ashes, comprises a thermometer 34 for detecting the temperature of the melting furnace 9, an oxygen concentration meter 35 for detecting oxygen concentration in a flue gas discharged from the melting furnace 9, a thermometer 32 for detecting the temperature at the outlet of the fluidized bed gasification furnace 6, and a control means for deciding whether the charged waste is reduced in quantity or in quality, based on the variation patterns of the three detected status values, when the oxygen concentration in the flue gas is increased more than a predetermined concentration range.
