To eliminate lower displacement of a conventional gasket and hence keep sealing properties of the conventional gasket by winding a metal material on the outside diameter side of a gasket up to the same diameter of a water chamber flange groove diameter.
A metal member 2 is wound on an outside of a conventional gasket 1. The gasket 1 is disposed at the center with respect to a pipe plate and a water chamber flange, and is disposed so as to prevent a gap from being formed between a groove in the water chamber flange and a pipe plate whereby the weight WB of a bolt tightens with uniform force F the pipe plate and the water chamber flange, and a uniform gasket repulsion force (f) is obtained as a reaction. Hereby, a gasket outer diarneter 11 of the upper side and a gasket outer diameter side height 12 of a lower side are made equal. Thus, the pipe plate and the water chamber flange can tighten the conventional gasket 1 uniformly, and ideal use is ensured for the gasket.
