Abstract:
To provide a gasket installation structure capable of easily determining whether a gasket sealing a space between two members is properly fitted into a gasket groove or not.
In this installation structure for an elastic material gasket interposed between two members to seal a space therebetween, the gasket groove 6 into which the gasket 7 can be fitted is formed in the sealed face 4 of one of the two members. A mark 7a for confirming the installation is formed on the side face 7b of the gasket 7. The mark 7a for confirming the installation is so formed that, when the gasket 7 is fitted into the gasket groove 6, it can be used for determining whether the gasket 7 is properly fitted into the gasket groove 6 or not.
