Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a gasket for oil having improved tensile strength, stress relaxation ratio, small reduction in tensile strength after oil immersion and improved sealability, by adding a specific amount of polynorbornene to a gasket material comprising a fibrous material, a rubber material and a filling material as main materials.
CONSTITUTION: A gasket material comprising a fibrous material (e.g. asbestos, aromatic polyamide fibers, etc.), a rubber material (e.g. NBR, SBR, etc.) and a filling material as main materials is blended with 1W30wt% polynorbornene to give the aimed gasket.
