To provide a gate angle estimating system capable of properly estimating the opening and closing angle of a gate while avoiding a structure in which a sensor is directly provided at the gate.SOLUTION: A gate angle estimating system X that is applicable to a gate driving mechanism Y which automatically opens or closes a gate A provided at a loading space T1 of a cargo vehicle T includes: a state value detecting unit X1 that directly or indirectly detect the state value (the rotation angle) of a predetermined arm 4 that moves in conjunction with the opening and closing operation of the gate A in the gate driving mechanism Y; and a gate rotation angle estimating unit X2 that estimates the rotation angle of the gate A on the basis of the detection value detected by the state value detecting unit X1 when the gate A is opened or closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
