To provide a gate device for a vehicle that suppresses the occurrence of abnormal noise from a gate stopper device during vehicle traveling or the like.
The gate device 10 for the vehicle opens/closes an opening part 3, provided in a vehicle body 2, by a rear gate 4. The device is provided with a slide stopper 20 mounted to either one of the vehicle body 2 and the rear gate 4, and a fixed stopper 30 mounted to either the other of the vehicle body and the rear gate so as to restrain the rear gate 4 while interfering with the slide stopper 20 when the rear gate is closed. The slide stopper 20 has a slider 25 elastically slidable by being brought into contact with the fixed stopper 30 when the rear gate 4 is closed, and a slide guide 21 for slidably holding the slider 25 along the slide axis A. The slide axis A at the closed position of the rear gate is set so as to intersect with a movement locus B of a member, either one of the slide stopper 20 and the fixed stopper 30, mounted to the rear gate 4.
