Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which improves visibility and transmittance.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate including a first electric field forming electrode including a plurality of sub-electrodes arranged in parallel with each other away at a prescribed interval within a pixel area and a connection electrode for electrically connecting the respective sub-electrodes and a first alignment film rubbed in a first direction of covering the first electric field forming electrode, or a second substrate including a second electric field forming electrode including a plurality of openings formed in parallel with each other in an area corresponding to the pixel area of the first substrate and a second alignment film rubbed in a second direction of covering the second electric field forming electrode.
