To vertically open/close gate glass of a tail gate by constituting a gate glass opening/closing device of a third rod connected to the other end of a second rod via a rotary shaft and a lever having one end part connected to an upper part of the third rod via the rotary shaft and the other end inserted into a lock.
When an occupant of a vehicle presses a button 54 arranged on an outside panel of a tail gate, a first rod 56 connected to the button 54 is actuated in the (a) direction to be energized to an end part of a second rod 58 abutting to the first rod 56 to rotate the second rod 58. Since the other end part of the second rod 58 is connected to a third rod 60 by a rotary shaft, rotation of the second rod 58 operates the third rod 60 in the (b) direction. Since a lever 62 operates in the (c) direction and slips out of a lock 64 by operation of this third rod 60, a lock state of gate glass 20 is released.
