Abstract:
To easily remove deposits deposited to a gate insert.SOLUTION: A gate insert cleaning device 1 comprises: a shaft 2 insertable into a gate insert 13 fitted to a casting apparatus 100 and formed with an air passage communicating from one edge to the other edge; an air pump 4 connected to the one edge of the shaft 2 and feeding an air to the air passage; a rotary head 3 provided rotatively at the other edge of the shaft 2 and jetting the air from the air passage toward the inner circumferential face of the gate insert 13; and an actuator 5 rotatively driving the rotary head 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
