To provide a gate for power generation capable of adjusting discharging quantity of water in a water channel and of generating electric power with utilizing energy of natural water flow down.
A water passing through part 3 having water in the water channel 1 flow down is provided through a gate door body 2 rising and falling by the opening and closing means 7 to open and close the water channel 1. A hydraulic turbine 4 rotated by water flow flowing down the water passing through part 3 and an electric power generator 5 rotated by the hydraulic turbine 4 are attached on the gate door body 2. Under a condition that the water channel 1 is closed by the gate door body 2, the hydraulic turbine 4 is rotated by natural flowing down water passing through the water passing through part 3 and the electric power generator 5 is rotated to generate electric power.
