This gate unlocking/locking system comprises the automobile 2 having a personal identification device 3 capable of identifying a person by utilizing biological characteristic information and a parking space 1 having an unlockable/lockable gate 4. When the person is discriminated by the personal identifying device 3 that the person is one allowed to unlock the gate 4, unlocking/opening signals are sent to the gate unlocking/locking device by radio to unlock and open the gate 4. Thus, the automobile 2 can come into and out of the parking space 1.
