Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a lock mechanism for locking a valve plate at a sealed position of a gate opening to adjust the compression amount of a seal member, in a gate valve where the gate opening is sealed by vertically moving the valve plate to a valve sheet of the gate opening.SOLUTION: In a gate valve 1 where by vertically moving a valve plate 4 to a valve sheet 8 of a gate opening 2, a seal member 9 of the valve plate contacts to the valve sheet at a sealed position P3 of the gate opening, the compression amount of the seal member at the sealed position can be adjusted within a predetermined range, and in a state where the seal member pushes against the valve sheet with the adjusted compression amount, a first lock mechanism 50 for locking the valve plate is provided.
