To provide a gatepost for a rotating gate, which facilitates accommodation of a dimensional error occurring at the time of erection of a support, and maintains a relative relationship between the support and a rotating body even if an unexpected force is vertically applied to the gatepost.
According to the structure of the gatepost, the rotating body (2) which has a gate main body (3) fixed thereto, is rotatably fitted onto the support (1) which is vertically erected on the ground. An annular spacer plate having its outer peripheral surface slightly abutted on an inner peripheral surface (9) of the rotating body (2) is rigidly fixed to a lower outer peripheral surface of the support (1), and a support disk (6) having its outer peripheral surface (8) slightly abutted on the inner peripheral surface (9) of the rotating body (2) is rigidly fixed to an upper edge of the support (1). Then lubricant filling slots (10) are cut away in the outer peripheral surface of the annular spacer plate (5) and in the outer peripheral surface (8) of the support disk (6), respectively. Further a height adjusting screw (17) formed of a cylindrical screw is fastened to a support plate (16) rigidly fixed to the rotating body (2), and a lower edge of the height adjusting screw (17) is coupled to the support disk (6) via a thrust bearing (18), followed by screwing a fixing bolt (20) having penetrated through the height adjusting screw (17) into the support disk (6).
