Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauge for a vehicle, the gauge including multiple different indicators each of which can be turned on, thus notifying a state of the vehicle, the gauge enabling an indicator that is off due to the trouble, to be found easily.SOLUTION: On the basis that an ignition switch is turned on, or according to a command from an inspection facility, a gauge 1 for a vehicle transitions to a mode for checking whether an indicator 5a to be checked has trouble. When having transitioned to the mode, the gauge 1 for a vehicle turns on the indicator 5a to be checked, and displays an image 16 having the same design as a front surface 2 of the gauge 1 for a vehicle, or a design imitating the design of the front surface, on a display 4 provided on the gauge 1 for a vehicle, the image showing the indicator 5a to be checked, which is on. When elapsed time while the indicator 5a to be checked is on and while the image 16 is displayed exceeds a predetermined period of time, the gauge 1 for a vehicle finishes the checking mode, transitioning to normal control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
