Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauze detection system capable of preventing a gauze from being left behind in surgery without subjecting the gauze to special processing.SOLUTION: A gauze detection system 100 includes an image input part 1 for inputting an image of a photographed surgical field, a determination part 2 for determining, with a region of a predetermined size in the input image as a determination object region, whether or not the region includes a feature of a gauze image by image processing, and a determination result output part 3 for notifying that a gauze is detected in the input image when there is a determination object region determined to include the feature of the gauze image by the determination part 2. The determination part 2 detects the presence or absence of the gauze region by, for example, binarizing the input image to classify it into a white image and a black image, and detecting a mesh portion of the gauze represented as a block of the black image of a predetermined area or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
