Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the generation of noise and to improve durability by providing a first gear located between main and auxiliary gears and provided with a spring to effect energization in a direction in which the phase of the auxiliary gear is delayed from that of the main gear, and a second gear engaged with the first gear, and applying crowning on the tooth trace of the former.
CONSTITUTION: Crowning processing is applied on the teeth 18 of a main gear 10 on the first gear side and a tooth trace forms an contour in an arcuate or a curve shape similar thereto having a high radius. Meanwhile, no crowning processing is applied on teeth 30 on the second gear 28 side and a tooth trace is formed in the shape of a linear contour. Meanwhile, the teeth 20 of an auxiliary gear 14 juxtaposed with the main gear 10 performs operation enough for elimination of a backlash between the engaging teeth of the main gear 10 and the second gear 28, and does not attribute to torque transmission. Thereby, crowning processing may be applied or not applied. Thus, during engagement of the teeth 18 and 30 with each other, a constantly specified wide engagement area is ensured, a tooth surface bearing is reduced, durability is improved, and unevenness in an engagement position does not occur, whereby the generation of noise is reduced.
