Abstract:
PURPOSE: To offer a gear forming grinding method capable of improving productivity easily, including manufacture of helical gear to which crowning is applied.
CONSTITUTION: When a helical gear is manufactured by forming grinding a workpiece W, in this gear forming grinding method forming grinding wheels 10A, 10B of two separate spindles are used for grinding either one of the right gear surface and the left gear surface of the different tooth grooves. After making the initial setting of both grinding wheel heads of the two wheels 10A, 10B so that the most front end of each usable surface contacting line may be in a phase same as that of the workpiece W, grinding is accomplished by both grinding wheel heads making a synchronizing drive.
