Title:
GEAR HONING STICK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002326123
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a gear honing stick that can ensure high efficiency and wear resistance.

Since at least an internal tooth portion 14 involved in polishing in the gear honing stick 10 includes a lumped abrasive grain G1, in honing, in comparison with that of a conventional gear honing stick using a general abrasive grain, a reduced elastic escape in cutting due to a large diameter of the lumped abrasive grain G1 can increase a depth of cut, and pores formed in the lumped abrasive grain G1 itself function as chip pockets to sustain sharpness, with the result that high polishing efficiency can be obtained. Since the lumped abrasive grain G1 is sufficiently larger in diameter than a filler G2 or than abrasive grains included in the lumped abrasive grain G1 and has a complex rugged shape, sufficient gripping force by a resin bond PB can be ensured, with the result that high wear resistance can be obtained.
