To provide a gear which improves formability in hot or cold forging by arranging a form of a cross section near a dedendum into uniform wall thickness by arranging a wave-like groove slightly recessed to a tooth profile side corresponding to projecting or recessed forms of a profile of the gear continuously all around its circumference of the dedendum side, improves bearing fatigue strength and bending fatigue strength of the gear by thickly forming a uniform fiber flow in the tooth profile and extends a service life of a hot or cold forging mold.
In the gear, a ring-like boss is provided for an outer circumference of a shaft hole arranged through its center, a sunk groove is arranged in the outer circumference in a doughnut-like shape, main teeth are arranged for the outer circumference and a recessed groove is arranged toward the tooth profile corresponding to the tooth profile all around the circumference of the dedendum side continuously in a wave-like manner.
