Title:
GEAR LINE STRUCTURE OF ANALOGUE ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP04315987
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent rattling of a needle gear in the direction of rotation and also to prevent rattling of the gear in the axial direction while the gear is not driven by providing an elastic portion to a transmission gear by means of integral molding or the like, and providing a needle receiver with a plurality of recessed or projecting portions which mesh with the elastic portion.

CONSTITUTION: An axially movable position-regulating elastic portion 8 is provided to the toothed portion of a fourth gear (needle gear) 5. The end portion 8a of the elastic portion 8 meshes with plural (60) recessed portions 9 provided in a needle receiver 2 which holds the fourth gear 5, so that the stopping position of the fourth gear 5 is regulated. The elastic portion 8 is bent at least in the direction of its axis when intermittently moved by a step motor, and also when the rotor 3 of the step motor is in its statically stable position the recessed portions 9 are engaged with the elastic portion and thereby the stopping position of the fourth gear 5 can be regulated regardless of the amount of backlash provided between gears and so the position of the fourth gear can be surely detected per second. When not driven the fourth gear 5 is prevented from rattling in the direction of its axis, thus reducing to a large extent the probability of a clock being stopped by sliding of needles against each other. Concerning disturbance, the danger of the needles being jumped is eliminated.
