PURPOSE: To provide a loading device which can automatically set a gear in a gear processing machine while locating of the cogs is conducted, wherein the gear pressing machine chamfers the flank of each cog.

CONSTITUTION: A chucking means 10 is equipped with a gripping tool 27 which grips the periphery of a gear G and is movable in the radial direction, is arranged rotatable round the axis of the gripped gear G, and is equipped with a gear locating tool 40 which can removably be fitted on a cog (bottom Ga) of the gear G and is movable in the radial direction interlockingly with the gripping tool 27, wherein also a part to be contacted 40b is provided in the chucking means 10. A stopper is installed on a rotor 3 equipped with a gear holding chuck 2 of a cog processing machine, and therewith the chucking means 10 is stopped rotating when the stopper comes in contact with the part 40b of the chucking means 10.
