Abstract:
To obtain a gear motor capable of inhibiting temperature rise of a motor part.SOLUTION: In a gear motor 1 including a motor shaft 15 in which a pinion 29 is formed at one end, a cylindrical collar 31 is press-fitted in an outer peripheral surface of the motor shaft 15 to be fixed thereto and a lip part of an oil seal 52 contacts with an outer peripheral surface of the collar 31. The collar 31 has a lamination structure comprising: a first layer 31a formed of a metal material and located at an outer side; and a second layer 31b formed of a non-metal material and located at an inner side. Therefore, an oil seal 52 and the motor shaft 15 are thermally insulated by the second layer 31b and thus it is more difficult to transfer heat generated by sliding between the oil seal 52 and the collar 31 to the motor part. Therefore, temperature rise in the motor part can be inhibited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
