Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save labor in lapping for finish grinding of a gear pair and in a finish inspection for the lapped gear pair.SOLUTION: A lapper (30) for a gear pair comprises: a first shaft (31) which supports and fixes a first gear (131) which is one of a gear pair; a second shaft (32) which supports and fixes a second gear (132) which is the other of the gear pair; a first shaft support part (33) which rotatably supports the first shaft; a second shaft support part (34) which rotatably supports the second shaft; a displacement mechanism (36) which displaces the second shaft support part and causes to the second gear to engage with the first gear; abrasive material supply means (35) which supplies an abrasive material to an engagement part of the first gear and the second gear; a driving source (37) which drives the first shaft or the second shaft, and laps the engagement part including the abrasive material; abrasive material removal means (37) which removes the abrasive material from tooth surfaces of the first gear and the second gear; and vibration detection means (42) which measures engagement vibration generated at the engagement part in which the abrasive material is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
