PURPOSE: To make a parking securely, by determining a meshing condition of gears of a transmission based on a gear position detection signal when an ignition key is switched from an engine drive position to an engine stop position and informing of it through a communicator.

CONSTITUTION: An amount of depression of an accelerator pedal 17, operating positions of a forward and backward travel lever 20 and an ignition key are sensed from respective sensors 16, 19, 25. These signals and signals from respective sensors 12, 11, 13, 15 for sensing a speed changing position, a forward and backward traveling position, a car speed and an r.p.m. of an engine are applied to a CPU 21 through an input interface 22. The CPU 21 effects arithmetic operation based on a program memory to apply a control signal to an actuator derive circuit 24 and to light a parking display lamp in accordance with a meshing condition of gears of a transmission. As a result, whether a lever is properly operated for a parking by gears is confirmed for a safe and secure parking.
