Abstract:
To provide a gear processing device that realizes, by a simplified configuration, an improvement in the degree of freedom in movement of a workpiece detection sensor relative to a workpiece.SOLUTION: A gear processing device includes a spindle housing 40a fixed to a saddle 30 and rotatably supporting a rotary spindle 41. Further, the gear processing device includes a workpiece detection sensor 45 that can be moved forward and backward relative to the workpiece W by a support mechanism 110 fixed to a sensor casing 40b integrally connected to the spindle housing 40a. In the gear processing device, when a tooth phase is detected, the saddle 30 and a tilt table support portion 63 are positionally controlled with respect to each other, and the support mechanism 110 causes the workpiece detection sensor 45 to approach a workpiece W and to place it at a detecting position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
