Title:
GEAR PUMP FOR MOLTEN RESIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0552185
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To constitute a journal bearing which does not cause thermal deterioration or seizure even if molten resin is resin with a filler or easy to be thermally deteriorated.

CONSTITUTION: A rotor 6 is made by integrally molding a gear part 4 and a shaft part 5 inside of a pump housing 3, clearances 7A, 7B where resin flows from the gear part 4 are formed between a journal bearing body 30 and the shaft part 5 of the rotor 6 and a collection passage to return the supplied resin to an inlet port is formed on these clearances. The supply amount of the resin flowing into the clearances 7A, 7B is increased by providing a flow regulation valve 16 to regulate the flowing resin amount on the collection passage 8. Consequently, thermal deterioration and seizure of a journal are prevented.
