Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear pump or a gear motor capable of preventing leakage of a working fluid and preventing deterioration of volume efficiency with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A gear pump or a gear motor includes: a first piston 30 for energizing an end surface of a first rotary shaft 11 of a drive gear 1 by a working fluid from a high pressure side so as to cancel a thrust load working on the first rotary shaft 11 of the drive gear 1; a second piston 40 for energizing an end surface of a second rotary shaft 12 of a driven gear 2 by the working fluid from the high pressure side so as to cancel the thrust load working on the second rotary shaft 12 of the driven gear 2; a first cylinder chamber 22a in which the first piston 30 is slidably accommodated; a second cylinder chamber 22b in which the second piston 40 is slidably accommodated; a first seal member 31 for sealing between an outer periphery of the first piston 30 and an inner periphery of the first cylinder chamber 22a; and a second seal member 41 for sealing between an outer periphery of the second piston 40 and an inner periphery of the second cylinder chamber 22b.
